The Barnett Government spent more than $27,000 to come up with the
name of its light rail network - and it could have just googled it.
The name - Metro Area Express or MAX - is the same as the light rail system in Portland, Oregon.

When TriMet fails...there's always WalMart

| It's pathetic that in the city with the best transit system in the nation...that WalMart has to settle with running its own shuttle service to get people from their homes to WalMart and back - because TriMet can't. Even better - these buses are free to ride. |

| A tarped Siemens LRV sits underneath the yard tower at Portland Terminal Railroad's Lake Yard, presumably in interchange between Union Pacific to BNSF. Not sure who this car belongs to but I will venture it's for Calgary. Interestingly it sits on a black flatcar lettered for Southern Pacific; this is probably the first black SP car I've seen...and SP rolling stock is getting rarer and rarer every day. |

Why Trimet will not allow bike racks that hold 3 bikes-official answer
Yes, we tested the 3-bike rack as we've looked to
increase bike capacity on buses. After testing it we found that it was
not a safe option for us. During our test, we found that when loaded
with bikes they created safety concerns because they blocked the
operator’s vision, impacted the operators line of sight and blocked
headlights. Additionally they present safety concerns when turning in
areas with narrow streets or tight clearances. We remain in contact with
vendors and are monitoring design changes to determine if we are able
to try them out again in the future. Have a question you would like answered,

acceptable now that each garage has some dedicated
cleaners.The windows on fridays run were ridiculous.
Perhaps HR/Operations should add window cleaning
as a driver pre-trip responsibility.
