MAX GOES DOWN-AGAIN!
How many service disruptions have we had this week? This is unbelievable!
Due to an incident involving a MAX train and auto at NE Holladay and Grand, MAX Blue, Green and Red Line trains are disrupted. Shuttle buses will transport riders between Rose Quarter and Lloyd Center stations. Riders should expect delays.
Lake Oswego citizens repeatedly are saying ‘no’ to streetcar
Citizen testimony at public hearings ran two to one against streetcar. Email correspondence to council ran approximately three to one against streetcar. The Citizen Budget Committee voted to eliminate any streetcar/Foothills funding. Now, a professional survey of Lake Oswego citizens identified that 82 percent of the citizens think other things are more important than Streetcar. This should be more than adequate information for the mayor and his majority on the council to listen to the citizens and understand that Lake Oswego does not want this streetcar.

Drivers robbed punched, thugs threaten family
A Hamilton bus driver was tailed and punched by an angry motorist, while another had threats made against his family by gang members who boarded his bus late at night and demanded to be taken where they wanted.

LOW FLOORS A HAZARD?
Vendors near Ajmeri gate shouted slogans against the authorities. "The basic flaw with these buses is that its engine is on the backside due to which many a times you don't get an idea that the bus has come nearer. I think in order to avoid such accidents these buses should be banned in Jaipur. Likewise, they should have trained and skilled drivers," said Vishnu Sehajwani, a vendor.

San Francisco coughs up $8M in Muni health costs
Under the old San Francisco City Charter, members of the Transport Workers Union Local 250-A were entitled to annual cash allotments from the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency to help pay for health, vacation and pension costs. Operators at the union could receive up to $3,000 each from those payouts.
